Farm Animals & Children's Play Area

We have a growing number of animals on view for our customers to enjoy near the farm shop.  At the moment we have Pygmy goats, Suffolk sheep, Norfolk Black turkeys, Indian Runner and White Crested ducks and a number of bantam chickens.  We frequently have livestock for sale particularly during the summer months.  Please contact us if you are interested.

Laying Hens

Our flock of laying hens are kept using organic methods. All the hens are the Tradition Lohmann breed which is a hardy hybrid which lays brown eggs.  The eggs are for sale in the farm shop throughout the year. The chickens can be seen when walking our Nature Trail.

Highland Cattle

Our Highlands cattle can be seen grazing along the Gipping Valley. They help increase the biodiversity of our wet meadows and also raised for beef which we sell in the farm shop.  Highlands are a very hardy breed and allow us to utilise more of the land on the farm, which is unsuitable for fruit or vegetable production.  This allows us to have a much more integrated farming system.

Play Area

We have recently given our play area a face lift! There are lots of things to play on for children of different ages including: swings, slide, tractor tyres, balance beam and a climbing pole and we still have a few more bits to add! There is also a seating area so you can watch while your children play.
