Education
We feel that education
is a vital part of running the farm, in order to
help people understand
the important role farmers have in safe-guarding
the future of our countryside
through the way our food is produced.
Our farm provides an excellent
place for education in a relaxed atmosphere
and by providing a hands
on experience, everyone can get the most out of their visit.
For school visits we can
provide learning opportunities for many of the National
Curriculum subjects. For
example habitat and species identification for Biology,
inspiration for poems
for English, provision of large areas for hands on Maths,
orienteering for Geography....the
list is endless!
We also get many other
groups and clubs visiting the farm, so if you have an interest
in wildlife and our environment,
want a relaxing walk or just want to know more
about farming this may
be an ideal location for you.
We encourage groups of
people to come and visit our farm, either independently
or with a guided tour.
We can organise your visit for you or tailor it to your needs.
Our trailer rides tend
to be very popular with school visits and young children!
