The Farm Shop and Pick Your Own

We grow a wide range of usual and unusual fruit and vegetables which we sell in our farm shop in a typical Suffolk barn. During the summer there are many varieties you can pick yourself to get the best quality and flavour.

Delicatessen

From our serve over counter we sell a wide variety of local and European cheeses and cold meats.  We also sell many baked goods which are made fresh every day in our own Kitchen, these include quiches, sausage rolls, scotch eggs and sausage pie.  A wide range of local wines and beers are also available along with speciality olives and olive products.

Home-reared Highland Beef

Our fold of Highland cattle graze meadows in the valley helping to increase there biodiversity.  Beef is available fresh in the farm shop monthly.

Our Own Free-Range Eggs

Our flock of 200 happy hens have the run of our meadows, free to scratch, peck and dust-bathe!  Our eggs are available to buy in the farm shop.

Award-winning Fruit Ice Cream

All our fruit ice creams are hand-made with traditional English fruits grown on the farm or locally. To this we add British cream, sugar and very little else; no flavourings, colourings, emulsifiers or preservatives are needed. The few ingredients that are sourced from abroad such as chocolate, vanilla and ginger are either fairly traded or organic.  The ice cream was set up as a separate limited company in 2007 called Alder Tree.

Locally Produced Food
We sell apples, apple juice, pies, meat, Suffolk-cure bacon, cold meats, herb plants, our own free-range eggs, goat's cheese, locally ground flour and Jersey cream from local producers.

Fair Trade
We sell fairly-traded goods in the farm shop - tea, coffee, chocolate etc. We do this in order to help small farmers like ourselves in other parts of the world.
