The farm has been involved in Defra's Stewardship scheme for many years as a way of enhancing our natural environment but last year one of our tasks was to provide more access as a way of enhancing public enjoyment of the countryside.

The farm nature trail takes you on a short walk through many different habitats such as the Alder Carr wood (after which we are named), wet meadows and fields being grazed by some of our livestock. So why not come and explore a bit more?

Farm Nature Trail

The route begins at the car park inbetween the gravel garden and farm animals and goes down a track past our pond. Please don't go off the marked route, if you need directions please ask in the farm shop.

Please Note:
The trail goes through some very wet areas including ponds, ditches and wet meadows so please bring your wellies. The area is also prone to mosquitos so long sleeves and mosquito repellant are advised. Sorry but we can't allow dogs on the trail. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Enjoy your walk!
