There is so much more here than just the farmshop. For some peace and quiet go for a stroll around our nature trail, or meander along the River Gipping. Pick up a picnic and spend some time in the children’s play area or hire a bike to explore further afield.

Pick up some goodies from the farmshop, or coffee from the café and enjoy a picnic on the grass or at one of our picnic tables. Visit the farm animals and play on the swings, logs and our very own play house.

Take a walk around the farm and around our Alder Carr nature trail. Spot orchids, butterflies and birds of prey, but don’t forget your wellies, as it can become a bit soggy under foot.

Alder Carr Farm is less than a mile to Needham Lakes – the most visited free attraction in the East of England! With wildfowl, walks and picnic play areas for children of all ages.
River Gipping Walks
Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the River Gipping, with an abundance of plants, birds, fish and insects as well as historic features such as the old watermills and locks.
